Michael C. Hyatt is an MFA Acting Student at Louisiana State University where he is honing his craft as an Actor and Instructor. He is certified as an instructor in the Seven Pillars Acting method. He has served as the Voice and Dialect Coach for The Play That Goes Wrong, and assisted with the fight choreography for Roméo et Juliette. Michael had the honor of playing Arthur De Bourgh in Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberly and Principle Benson in The Totality of All Things With the Swine Palace this past academic year. Later this year, his contribution to the Voice and Speech Review will be published in the latest addition of the journal.

He received his BFA in acting from Western Michigan University with training from Joan Herrington, Benjamin Reigel, and Mark Liermann, with physical and vocal training from Elizabeth Terrel. He also trained at the Globe Theatre in London, The Royal Shakespeare Company, LAMDA, and others. Michael has a passion for stage combat and received several certifications from The Society of American Fight Directors and Dueling Arts. His resume is available upon request.

Michael has nearly a decade of experience as an actor in Chicago, performing with the Drunk Shakespeare Society for 4 of those years. Michael was represented by BMG Talent while in Chicago, booking work in TV, Commercial, Print, and Voice Over.

Some of Michael’s favorite theatrical roles include Macbeth, Drunk Shakespeare, Bo, Ideal House, Tom, These Shining Lives, Bean, Love Song, and Freddie Fellows, Noises Off. 

His recent TV and Film credits include Chicago Fire, The Becomers, and Saturday Night Inside Out.
